UFO: UnFinished (Art) Objects

For the projects you never finished

and the ones you haven't started yet.

Some things don't get finished & that's exactly the point.

UFO is a weekly open studio at heArt's Path where you can drop in, pick up something new, return to something waiting & make things in the company of others who get it.

No agenda. No pressure to produce.

Just two hours of creative exploration, community & curiosity.

UFO is for anyone who:

  • Has a project they never quite finished

  • Wants to explore new materials without committing to a class

  • Is craving creative community without performance pressure

  • Just needs two hours and a table full of possibility

Beginning in June ~ Every Tuesday ~ 10 to 12 & 6 to 8

  • The studio opens for collage, mixed media & whatever wants to emerge.

  • Tina will circulate with support, questions & encouragement while you work at your own pace.

Wonderfully Curious Collage Exploration

〰️ Wonderfully Curious Collage Exploration

There is something wonderfully liberating about cutting something up to make something new.

Taking an image, a page, a word, a fragment of something and transforming it into something that didn’t exist together until you decided it should. That’s collage…it’s one of the most accessible, surprising and satisfying art forms.

Creature at the Door is a small, intimate intro to collage: guided, unhurried & genuinely approachable. Using a simple, playful framework — a threshold (a door, a window, an archway) and the curious little creature who belongs there, you'll learn the fundamentals of collage while making something that is entirely surprising.

This Workshop Is For You If:

  • You've always wanted to try collage but didn't know where to start

  • You want to make something with your hands in good company

  • You're just curious — that's more than enough

  • All materials provided

  • No experience necessary

  • ALL are WELCOME

What To Expect:

  • A warm, unhurried two hours.

  • A guided process with room to wander.

  • A closing “share” built on witnessing, not critiquing.

  • Something to bring home that is entirely, genuinely yours.

What You’ll Explore:

  • Building a background from color, texture & intuition

  • Deconstructing images & reassembling them into something new

  • Layering & composing before you commit

  • Finding meaning in the fragments you choose

UNFOLDING

A Creative Ritual for Self Care

  • You don't need to be an artist.

  • You don't need to be okay.

  • You just need to show up — and make something.

The Unfolding is a come-unity series where creativity becomes a ritual of self care.

Through art-making, reflection & come-unity, we tend to ourselves — & discover what none of us could have found alone.

3 Part Series

Rituals for Self Care

Session 1: The heArt of It - Art as an easy-to-incorporate ritual in your daily life

What if your morning held one small moment that was entirely yours?

We begin at the beginning with a single mark, a mandala, a heart at the center of the page. Drawing on the science of neurotrophic art, which shows us that creativity literally nourishes the brain, this first session makes the case for a daily creative practice not as a luxury, but as a quiet act of self care within reach of anyone.

You don't need to be an artist. You don't need extra time or special supplies. You just need to begin. And we'll begin together.

Session 2: Art as a Healing Guide - Creativity as a path to healing and connection

Something happens when we make together. The hand moves, the breath slows, and what was tangled begins to loosen.

In this second session, we go deeper. Working with small squares of paper and the meditative, rhythmic patterns of zentangle, we explore creativity not just as a habit, but as a companion; one that meets you exactly where you are, asks nothing of you and quietly shows you what you already know.

This is art as witness. As comfort. As the kind of healing that doesn't announce itself; it simply arrives, somewhere between one line and the next in meditation.

Session 3: The Integration - Weaving the ritual into your life and why it matters

This is where it all comes together.

In our final session, we gather every mark, every breath, every moment of stillness from across the workshop and weave them into something you can hold: a small handmade booklet; a zine that is your personal creative ritual made both visible and portable.

We ask the question that has been living beneath all the making: why does art matter? You won't find the answer in words. You'll find it in the work in the pages you've filled, the patterns you've drawn, the quiet that found.

Leave with your zine. Leave with your ritual. Leave knowing that you are someone who makes things and that making things changes everything.
